Maurer Söhne und Schachtbau Nordhausen use the HiFIT process among others for increasing the fatigue strength of steel bridge structures.

In many cases the accessibility of the weld details to be treated is problematic (compare Fig. 2 and Fig. 3). The small dimensions of the HiFIT device also permit treating the welds on difficult to reach areas.
